Last week Jonathan interviewed a neuro-rockstar — Dr. Wendy A. Suzuki about her her personal journey to launching her new book: Healthy Brain, Happy Life.
Wendy Suzuki runs an interactive research lab at New York University, where her research is focused on understanding the patterns of brain activity underlying long-term memory and, more recently, how aerobic exercise might improve our learning, memory, and cognitive abilities.
She’s a two-time TEDx speaker (my kind of gal!!), is regularly interviewed on television and in print about her work. She lectures nationally and internationally on her research and serves as a reviewer for many of the top neuroscience journals. She lives in New York City.
Dr. Suzuki also moonlights as a neuro-mythbuster (my favourite kind of scientist). In keeping with the theme of the Walking Book Club, the Suzuki lab questions such as
“What is the most effective exercise “prescription” that can enhance learning, memory and attention in school/university settings?”
